National Perspective
The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires is an entirely Canadian organization operating in all ten provinces. Consisting of 17 autonomous Divisions, each with a mandate to provide employment for persons who have served in the Canadian Forces or in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Commissionaires are Canada's leading provider of security guards and related services.
Although every Division is a separately incorporated entity, all are members of the national organization, and each has a representative on the National Board. A National Office, located in Ottawa, provides a coordinating facility for the Corps.

From humble beginnings and 20 employees in 1937, CNS is now the largest security organization in Atlantic Canada with over 1500 employees.
CNS operates as a not-for-profit company.
By operating in this manner, we are able to provide our employees with both meaningful employment and fair wages and our customers with quality service at competitive prices.
